I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock ringing. After turning it off, I got up and started to get ready for once again another long day in the fields. The King had requested another large gathering of wheat and corn. Long story short, ever since the drought that hit our beautiful land.
I putted on my work and regular clothes, which consists of a old white T-Shirt, worn out jeans and black boots (which reminds me to stop by the market to buy some new shirts and jeans after work). This is was made a law by the King that people with certain jobs have certain clothes that they have to wear all the time. Such as military is black top, brown camouflage pants and tan military boots while farmers are what I'm wearing.
That's maybe one of my biggest problems with the King. He makes living here in Achievement City like a prison. We even have a goddamn curfew for no fucking reason.
I sighed as I tried to push those thoughts out of my mind. If I don't, then I won't be able to contrate on my work.
I finished tying up my boots and walked over to my small mirror hanging by the front door to my house. I look at my reflection, not too worried about the bags under my eyes. I spit-fixed my dark hair to a certain style that seemed to work for me. I turned and walked out the front door.
Bright sunlight greeted me as I slam the door behind me. I didn't bother to lock my sad excuse for a house because I don't have anything worth stealing. No electronics (besides my cheap alarm clock), no kids or pets, and barely any food.
I walked down to the dirt road that was in front of my house. This is one of the main roads that enter the kingdom and passes the fields. I walked north on the road to where the castle shined in the horizon.
